Local Business

Do you run a business based in the Choppington Parish Council area?  The Parish Council is running a ‘local business finder’ section to assist those who wish to ‘shop’ locally.  We are compiling a list of local businesses for publication on our website and in the Parish News which is delivered to every house in the area.  We would like all businesses based in our area to be included, and would encourage local tradesmen and smaller home based businesses to become involved.  If you would like to be included on this list please contact info@choppingtonparishcouncil with your details for publication.

Allotment Rents

We will be available to receive payments at the Parish Office as follows: Wednesday 17th April 2019 between 9.30am – 10.30am or Before the Allotment Holders Meeting on Tuesday 16th April 2019.

We will be taking payments between 6.00-7.00pm with the meeting itself beginning at 7pm If you unable to make either date, please contact the office on 01670 858664 to make an alternative arrangement.

Choppington Pipers at War Memorial

A 6am start for pipers Lynn Margaret and Susan at the War Memorial at Stakeford and Bomarsund Welfare on 11 November 2018

3 of our residents joined with pipers all over the world at 6am 11 November to play ‘When the Battle’s O’ver, in commemoration of the signing of the Armistice.

Neighbourhood Plan

We are starting the consultation for our neighbourhood plan.  Coming through your door is the questionnaire about open space.   What space is important to you? Which space do you want to preserve? Where do think would be appropriate for new developments?  Please complete the questionnaire, the bigger the response the better and stronger our neighbourhood plan will be.
