Walking Football

For the second year we are running walking football sessions.  These sessions are coached/refereed by PFC with the hope that enough people will be interested to play regularly.  Contact the Parish Council through this website or ring 01670 858664 for further information.

Next screening is on 20th June at 1pm

Tuesday 27th Feb. The Choppington team beats back the beast from the East

At the first fall of snow, the Choppington’s ‘dedicated team’ were out clearing the paths of our area. Using modified ride-on grass-cutters with snow blades they were able to clear main thoroughfares in double quick time. These machines are deployed throughout the area as long as the snow lasts and complements the hand distribution of salt and gravel to those areas affected the most.  Every day it snows means that they have to start again in the priority areas.
If there is an area that requires special attention because of elderly or infirm access difficulties please contact Parish Offices.

https://www.bce2018.org.uk

Previously the wards of Stakeford and Choppington had been placed in separate constituencies.  These proposals now have them in the same new constituency of Berwick and Morpeth.

Our small wards of West Sleekburn and Old Red Row have been placed with the Blyth and Ashington constituency.

The Boundary Commission are asking for comments until the 11 December 2017.
