Remembrance Services November 2020

at

Choppington and Stakeford Memorials

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a decision has been made to cancel the public remembrance services at Choppington and Stakeford War Memorials. If you would like to lay a wreath at one of the Memorials you are encouraged to do so privately on or before the 11th November. You can also lay a wreath in the Memorial Garden at West Sleekburn Village Hall.

The day will not go unmarked, and a remembrance service at Guide Post War Memorial by Reverend Terry Moat will be streamed online via Facebook @choppingtonparishcouncil on Sunday 8th November and can be viewed on the Parish website www.choppingtonparishcouncil.org on 11th November to coincide with the national observance at 11am

The British Legion website lists other ways to mark the day, one of which is to virtually plant a Tribute from home to remember the fallen in a virtual Field of Remembrance. Please find the link below
